I miss the days when I could talk to someone with an opposing political or religious viewpoint and still remain friends. The days when we appreciated each other for who we were and how we lived our lives, instead of judging each other for what we believed in. The days before the internet took over and mudslinging from the keyboard became an every day—no, every minute—thing.  Now, no matter what I surf on the internet, I come across vitriol. People with nothing else to do but criticize opposing viewpoints. Judge others. Blame others. People who scream talking points back into the void, not offering any insightful views or ideas, just becoming another echo chamber for whatever cause they believe in.  I wish I still had friends like the ones I had before 1995.
